Install the RV-6E reducer at the end of the power arm, which is 50CM long, i.e. 500mm. First let the boom press the probe of the dial gauge, record the reading: 3.111mm, and then let the motor reverse 300 steps, about half a week. A further 300 steps forward to return to the original position gave a reading of 3.115 mm. The error is 0.004 mm. It then ran 500 tests with an average absolute error of 0.026 mm. The motion circumference of the top of the moving arm is 500*2*3.14=3140mm, and the circumference of 1 degree is 3140/360=8.7mm, so the circumference of 1 arc minute is 8.7/60=0.145mm. The absolute value of our average error is 0.026mm, which is equivalent to 0.026/0.145=0.1793 arc minute. The back gap has been achieved by less than 1 arc minute.
